Welcome to the course. Overview of Course which will explain exactly how to work through the course, where to find your course paperwork and how to fill it in, where to find the app. to submit your assessments and how to use it, as well as a full explanation of the practical assessments.

Learn about the anatomy and structure of the hair, and causes of hair growth so you know how to advise your clients of the when they should come back for another service.

OHS and Safety in the Salon covering everything you need to know to keep your salon a safe working environment for both you and your clients.
Sanitation & Hygiene will cover Cross Infection and how it happens, routes of infection, preventing cross infection, cleaning, disinfection and sterilization.

You will also learn about the contra indications and skin disorders that will prevent you from providing waxing services

A very important part of any salon is keeping accurate records. This section will teach you how to perform a verbal and written consultation for every new client, and how to keep accurate records of every service. We will cover pre and post lotions for each service, ingrown hairs and how to treat them, various hair removal methods and the different types of wax you will be working with.

In this module you will learn about all of the products and equipment you will need to provide waxing services, we will also cover room set up, and how to set up your work area.

We will guide you on how to fill and top up your wax pots and full strip down of wax pots for maintenance and thorough cleaning.

This module begins the practical section of the course, covering various body parts using strip wax. We first show you what the temperature and consistency of your wax should be, and there are some exercises for you to do to get the feel of the application and removal of the wax before you start working on your models. You will then do various parts of the body with strip wax on your models and submit your work for assessment.

This module covers face and brow waxing. We will teach you how to correctly shape the brows, correct arch placement and how to clean them up or do a full reshape with both hot and strip wax. Other areas of the face covered are lip, chin and sides of face, showing you how to use either hot or strip wax on those area also.

In this module we teach you a full Brazilian wax on a female. This is optional in the course, you do not have to submit assessments if you are not intending to offer this service.

Although waxing males and females is very similar there are some differences you need to learn. This module covers waxing on most body parts on a male as well as male brow waxing. It will teach you how to deal with the strong male hair that can sometimes grow in lots of different directions and how to apply the wax and remove without causing any trauma to the skin while getting a super smooth finish.
